His immersion into the aviation industry was galvanized with the success of his very first business, StudentCity.com which was founded in his Middlebury College dorm room in 1989. The $7 million business, which managed spring break air transport for over 50,000 students, was subsequently acquired by TUI Travel PLC, a FTSE 100 leisure travel company listed on the London Stock Exchange (TT.L), with over 53,000 employees worldwide.
Randy joins Elevate Aviation Group (EAG) as President, supporting Private Jet Services, Elevate Jet, Keystone Aviation, and Keystone MRO. Randy brings a passion for flying, safe and efficient operations, excellent customer experiences, and building strong and supportive team environments.
Prior to Joining Elevate, Randy served as the Chief Operating Officer for JSX, supporting Flight Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, Hospitality, Mission Control, and Engineering & Reliability. Randy brings over 20 years of commercial, private, and general aviation experience to EAG. Randy has held multiple escalating leadership roles that spanned large airline HUB operations, private jet account management, and senior leadership for large scale customer service and maintenance operations. His professional career was largely developed over 18 years in the Delta Air Lines family and culminated as the Chief Operating Officer for Delta Global Services. Two years were served with NetJets in support of customer service and vendor management.
Randy is an Alumni of Harvard Business School along with undergraduate and executive education accomplishments from Purdue University, Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business, University of Michigan College of Engineering, Buffalo University, and the University of South Carolina.
Will Dent is the Chief Marketing Officer at Elevate Aviation Group. In this role, he leads Elevate Aviation Group's Marketing & Communications as the company prepares for significant growth after it acquired Keystone Aviation in January 2022. Will has extensive experience in the aviation industry as an innovative, results-driven leader with expertise in utilizing technology to deliver value, provide direction, and support company goals. He has led the establishment of several high-performing teams in large organizations in addition to start-ups.
Michael Horrisberger is a technology leader with over twenty years of experience building high performing organizations and managing complex processes and technologies.
As the CIO, Michael is responsible for developing and executing PJS’ technology strategy and overseeing all aspects of information technology, information security, data, and analytics. He also supports the growth of the business through the enhancement of IT- and analytics-related initiatives.
Prior to joining PJS, Michael served as a U.S. Navy A6-E Intruder Pilot with Attack Squadron VA196 for seven years and he held executive leadership roles with Emery Waterhouse and Unum in business development, operations and IT management across financial services and distribution with a primary focus on enabling growth strategies.
Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Tim Murphy is a seasoned legal expert with extensive experience developing and closing domestic and international project finance and corporate transactions. He has worked with many multinational law firms based out of Washington, D.C., New York, Texas and Singapore, and has many years of successful first chair and litigation management experience with State and Federal trial and appeal courts and agencies.
As General Counsel for Elevate Aviation Group, Tim works closely with leadership and outside counsel to support all legal matters, including corporate organization, finance, contract negotiation, compliance, tax and regulatory analysis, employment law and litigation.
Tim is an alumnus of the College of William & Mary Law School and Stony Brook University in New York. Tim also attended school in Stockholm, Sweden during a year abroad. Previously based in Virginia, Tim now resides in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Andrew VanderPloeg is the Senior Vice President of Sales of Private Jet Services (PJS), a subsidiary of Elevate Aviation Group, which provides air transportation, travel consultancy, and aircraft management services. His team provides tailored insight and analysis to PJS clients to optimize their private aviation solutions and customer experience.
With a background in corporate finance and accounting, Andrew brings both a quantitative and qualitative approach to assisting PJS clients. His experience also helps to guide the Corporate Strategy and Business Planning functions along with CFO Mike MacKeen.
Andrew’s previous roles and experience span the hospitality, real estate, publishing, and information governance industries. He has expertise in business planning, corporate strategy, cross-functional project management, and growth strategies.
Andrew holds a master's degree from the Olin School at Babson College and a bachelor's degree from Bentley University.
Mr. Allen, who has more than 35 years of aviation experience, joined Keystone Aviation in 2018 as Manager of Air Carrier Safety & Quality Assurance, with responsibility for establishing Keystone’s Safety Management System (SMS). Most recently, he was Director of Air Carrier Safety at Keystone Aviation’s Salt Lake City operations.
Prior to joining Keystone, David ran TAC Air’s Airline Services, leading a team serving airline partners for all below-wing operations, charter operations and refueling. Mr. Allen has held various management positions in both operations and customer service at major airlines including Delta, Northwest and US Airways.
